Last year we were chefs with a little lobster. We received a lot of compliments and surprisingly few glares for putting out child in a pot and marching her down Mount Vernon Avenue. (See more photos here)
Halloween is one of the only times of year where you get to dress up as someone else. And furthermore, when you get to stuff your pooch into a tutu or shark costume, toss your toddler into a chewbacca body suit or even scoop your baby into a pea pod. But hey, it Halloween!
And lets not forget about the group costumes! One of my favorites in the past few years was of the family who coordinated the costumes of the crew from Monty’s Python’s Search for the Holy Grail, coconuts and all.

Last year after the Del Ray Halloween Parade we offered complementary portraits for families directly following the parade in the stage area and we’ll be offering it again this year!
So squeeze your dog into that bumble bee costume and collaborate for that clever group getup and come on down to see us after the parade.

The 18th annual Halloween Parade will be held on October 26th, 2014 on Mount Vernon Ave.--South of Bellefonte Ave. We will be offering portraits on the North side of the Mount Vernon Recreation Center following the parade. Digital files are complementary for use on social media. Print purchase is optional.
We’ll be at Art on the Avenue again this year. Please drop by our booth W109 and feel free to talk to us about photography or sign up for our raffle to win a mini session. We will not have a blog post next week because of Art on the Avenue and will be traveling the week following. Check back on the 19th for a new post.
