Takeout, Dining Options For Thanksgiving 2021 Around Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and your family may already be putting together plans for a holiday meal. But if you want to skip cooking the turkey this year or need a meal in between Thanksgiving dinner, it's time to start looking at dining and takeout options from restaurants.

Alexandria restaurants will be offering specials or dine-in service to take the work out of Thanksgiving meals for you. If you need recommendations, we have compiled a list of restaurants with dine-in or takeout service on Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 25) or the days before.

Old Town

Ada's on the River: Enjoy a three-course Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with your choice of appetizers, three main course choices, and three dessert choices. The price is $59 per person and $19 for children. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Barca Pier & Wine Bar: This waterfront restaurant will have Thanksgiving specials and will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Joe Theismann's Restaurant: Enjoy a Thanksgiving lunch or dinner from Theismann’s Restaurant. The holiday special menu includes starters, side dishes, soups and salads, a dessert menu, and a children's menu. Make your reservation for Thanksgiving now.

Hank's Oyster Bar: Have a happy Hank's Giving with a to-go menu for four to pick up on Nov. 24 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Brabo: Brabo will be open on Thanksgiving for in-person and take-out service from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for breakfast and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. for holiday service. The Thanksgiving menu will be family style and $85 per person.

King and Rye: The restaurant will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. for breakfast and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for lunch on Thanksgiving. The Winter Wonderland Courtyard Igloo Experiences will debut the next day on Nov. 26.

Mia's Italian Kitchen: Enjoy prix fixe and à la carte food at Mia's Italian Kitchen on Thanksgiving. The three-course prix fixe Thanksgiving menu will be $39 per person and $19 for children. Reservations can be made online or by phone at 703-997-5300.

Vola's Dockside Grill and Hi-Tide Lounge: Dine in for a three-course Thanksgiving prix fixe dinner menu. The price is $39 per person and $19 for children under 12. Make reservations online or call 703-935-8890.

Bastille: Enjoy a three-course meal from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The price is $75 per person.

The Majestic: Enjoy a prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner for $69 per person from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Chart House: The Thanksgiving menu will only be available on Nov. 25. A three-course Thanksgiving dinner is available for $65 per person.

Gadsby's Tavern Restaurant: Make a reservation for Thanksgiving at Gadsby's Tavern. The price is $58 per person or half price for children. Call 703-548-1288 for reservatiosn.

Magnolia's on King: Enjoy a Thanksgiving to-go feast for pickup on Nov. 25 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.The price is $115 for two, $210 for four, or $315 for six.

Hummingbird: Order Thanksgiving dinner to go with pickup on Nov. 23 or 24. Order by 6 p.m. on Nov. 22.

TJ Stone's: Pre-order takeout or come for dine-in on the heated patio or dining room.

Blackwall Hitch: The restaurant is open on Thanksgiving and offering a special Thanksgiving menu for $46 per person or $18 for children and under.

Royal Restaurant: Get a complete Thanksgiving dinner for eight to 10 people for $135. Pick up on Nov. 22, 23 or 24. Orders will be accepted through Nov. 20.

Trademark Drink and Eat: Trademark Drink and Eat will have a "Rums of Caribbean" Thanksgiving Turkey for dine-in or takeout. It will be served as a three-course dinner for dine-in or pick-up with your choice of Trademark Thanksgiving sides. The dinner price will start at $99, and three-course dine-in dinner will be $40 per person. Make a reservation for dine-in. The restaurant will be open on Thanksgiving from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sweet Fire Donna's: Sweet Fire Donna's will offer Thanksgiving catering packages and à la carte items. Orders must be placed by noon on Nov. 23 and picked up between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Nov. 24.

Del Ray

Lena’s Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap: Dine in at Lena's for mulled wine and spiked cider with firepits, heaters and blankets. On Thanksgiving, Lena's will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and serve a special Thanksgiving menu and a family meal package to-go. From each to-go order, $5 will be donated to ALIVE!. The cost for a to-go package for four people is $76 plus add-ons. In-person Thanksgiving specials will be priced à la carte.

Junction Bakery & Bistro: Thanksgiving pre-orders are available now for pies, dinner rolls, and roast chicken.

Northside 10: Thanksgiving to go is available to order by Nov. 22. The price is $195 to feed five to seven people.

Spice Kraft Indian Bistro: Enjoy a six-course Thanksgiving menu — $35 for one, $69 for two, and $125 for four from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 25. It will be available for dine-in or takeout.

Stomping Ground: Preorder Thanksgiving specials, including the Thanksgiving appetizer box.

Dairy Godmother: Pre-order treats for Thanksgiving such as frozen custard pumpkin pies, truffles and homemade cobblers. Pickup is available Nov. 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24. Dairy Godmother will be closed on Thanksgiving.

Del Ray Cookie Company: Pre-order place setting cookies to jazz up your table this Thanksgiving. Pickup will be Nov. 19 or 22.
