Author Talk

The Friends of Duncan Library present this "talk" by local historian and archaeologist Ted Pulliam, who will discuss his book Historic Alexandria: An Illustrated History.

Mr. Pulliam is a member of both the Alexandria Historical Society and the Alexandria Archaeology Commission, and his book delves deeply into primary sources, such as the 19th-century writer who called Alexandria "one of the most wicked places I have ever beheld," mainly because of the presence in the city of "no less than between forty to fifty billiard tables."  Further shocking revelations of our wicked past will no doubt await us at Ted's talk,  and will be followed by a discussion and book signing.
