Senior Citizen Law Day

This event is presented by - Senior Services of Alexandria and the Alexandria Bar Association

 

The doors will open at 8:30am with a complimentary continental breakfast.

At 9:00am the keynote address will be given by Steve Gurney, publisher of the Guide to Retirement Living Sourcebook.

Two panel discussions and a presentation will follow. 
The first panel on consequences of failing to plan for aging (guardianships and conservatorships), will feature four Alexandria lawyers, Luke Lenzi,  Kenneth E. Labowitz, Deborah G. Matthews, and Lonnie C. Rich. 
The second panel, moderated by Steve Gurney, will focus on care management, long term care, financial planning for long term care and Medicare, Medicaid, and Veterans Benefits. Presenters are Vanessa R. Bishop, MSW, LCSW, CMC, C-ASWCM, Thomas C. West, CLU, ChFC, and attorney Robert A. Bullock.
Mary Lee Anderson, Manager of Senior Services of Alexandria’s new Resource Center will discuss the resources and assistance services the initiative offers, as well as announce its newest offerings.
