This secular workshop will take an insightful look at teen depression, one of the top causes of teen deaths in the United States today. Dr. Nelson will examine some of the root causes of teen depression as well as related developmental issues for the afflicted teen, external symptoms, internal emotional issues, and opportunities for healing and hope. It is vitally important that adults have a better understanding of this "epidemic."

Dr. Nelson has over 30 years experience working with teens and their families. He used his own son's struggle with depression and his experience as a pastor to guide readers through an exploration of questions about depression in his book, A Relentless Hope: Surviving the Storm of Teen Depression.
