Free Summer Meal Locations Announced For Alexandria Schools

Alexandria Public Schools has announced locations and times for free summer meals in 2019. Any City of Alexandria residents 18 or younger can receive free meals regardless of their free or reduced price meal eligibility. The program is funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Parents or guardians should accompany children on their first visit to provide permission to receive meals and identify food allergies. Meals are on a first come, first served basis.

Here are the sites for free meals:

Summer School

• T.C. Williams High School King Street Campus: June 24-Aug. 9, 8 a.m.-10 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
• George Washington Middle School: June 26-Aug. 2, 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m.-1:45 p.m.
• Lyles Crouch Elementary School: July 8-26, 7:15 a.m.-8 a.m., 10:15 a.m.-12 p.m.
• Charles Barrett Elementary School: July 8-Aug. 2, 8:30 a.m.-9:15 a.m., 12 p.m.-1 p.m.
• Douglas MacArthur Elementary School: July 8-26, 8:30 a.m.-9:15 a.m., 12 p.m.-1 p.m.
• Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School: July 8-Aug. 2, 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
• James Polk Elementary School: July 8-Aug. 2, 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
