The James M. Duncan Branch serves Del Ray, Arlandria, Northridge, Warwick Village, Lynhaven and other neighborhoods in the Potomac West area of Alexandria. Named for the long-serving City Councilman and member of the Library Board James M. Duncan, Jr., the library opened in 1968 and was renovated and expanded in 2005. The 2005 addition features a green roof, the first for the City of Alexandria.
