Next week, on Wednesday, Aug. 20, you can ride any DASH bus for free when you donate new, unopened school supplies. DASH has partnered with Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS), Family and Community Engagement (FACE), and Community Partners for Children (CPC) for the 23rd Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive to benefit children in ACPS.

Riders can drop the school supplies (i.e., backpacks, notebooks, pencils, glue, rulers, etc.) into a special bin that will be located on the front of every DASH Bus.

Donations are also accepted at the Alexandria Transit Store located on Diagonal Road across from the King Street Metro Station though Aug. 20.
