Jan. 15 Weather Decision Made For Alexandria Schools

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Alexandria City Public Schools announced a two-hour delay for Tuesday, Jan. 15. Offices will also open two hours late.

Essential personnel must report on time. Non-essential staff will report on a two-hour delay.

ACPS also announced the following schedule changes:

• Kindergarten through grade 12 and Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) students report two hours later than regular opening time.
• Morning pre-K programs (Early Childhood Special Education and Preschoolers Learning Together) report two hours later than regular opening time, and dismiss one hour later than usual.
• Afternoon pre-K reports one hour later than regular opening time and is dismissed at the regular time.

Alexandria students had off Monday, Jan. 14 as snow cleanup efforts continued. Snow fell for much of the Jan. 12-13 weekend in DC and Northern Virginia, with some areas receiving nearly a foot of snow.
