Kaiser Permanente Opens Medical Center In Potomac Yard
The newest medical center is near the future Potomac Yard Metro station.
ALEXANDRIA, VA—Kaiser Permanente opened its new Alexandria Medical Center in Potomac Yard Monday, April 1. Located at 3000 Potomac Avenue, it's situated near the future Potomac Yard Metro station.
The 40,000-square-foot facility offers a range of primary and specialty care services. These include adult and pediatric care, women’s health, optometry, and physical therapy, as well as a pharmacy, radiology and laboratory services.
The location is the company's first in Alexandria and one of three medical centers Kaiser Permanente will open in Virginia this year. The other two include Colonial Forge Medical Center on the Stafford Hospital campus and Haymarket Crossroads Medical Center.

"Through these facilities and our advanced telehealth capabilities, Kaiser Permanente delivers high-quality care where, how and when our members want it," said Kim Horn, regional president of Kaiser Permanente for the Mid-Atlantic. "We are proud to provide our growing membership with local access to excellent care right here in Alexandria."
To mark the grand opening, the Alexandria Medical Center will hold a community day on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. All are invited for free wellness activities, a moon bounce, rock climbing wall, spin art bikes, a farmers market, and a live cooking demonstration by Evening Star Cafe Chef Jonathan Till. Residents do not have to be Kaiser Permanente members to attend.
