School will be out before we know it. Here are dates to remember for the remainder of the school year.
ALEXANDRIA, VA —As the 2018-2019 school year winds down, there's just a month of school left before the final bell for summer.
The remaining last weeks will fly by in a flurry of end-of-the-year activities. Here are the key dates you need to know if you have children who are attending Alexandria City Public Schools.
- May 23: School Board meeting
- May 27: No school (Memorial Day)
- June 6-7: Senior final exams
- June 6: School Board meeting
- June 8: T.C. Williams senior prom
- June 15: T.C. William High School graduation at EagleBank Arena
- June 17-18: Underclassmen final exams
- June 17: Hammond Middle School 8th grade promotion ceremony
- June 18: George Washington Middle School 8th grade promotion ceremony
- June 18: Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy 5th grade promotion ceremony
- June 19: Early release for all schools
- June 19: Charles Barrett Elementary School 5th grade promotion ceremony
- June 19: George Mason Elementary School 5th grade promotion ceremony
- June 19: James K. Polk Elementary School 5th grade promotion ceremony
- June 20: Last day of school: early release
- June 20: School Board meeting
