Local Fall Festival This Weekend

Potomac Crescent Waldorf School's Fall Festival will be held - rain or shine - Saturday, Nov 1 from 10am-2pm just up the hill from Del Ray.

Potomac Crescent Waldorf School’s Annual Fall Festival will be held - rain or shine - Saturday, November 1, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 923 South 23rd Street, Arlington (Arlington Ridge). The festival is a family-centered day of traditional games, crafts, puppet plays, a hearty and wholesome lunch, and more. Children can crush herbs for a sachet, decorate a wooden candle holder, and create beautiful felt necklaces. Children can also dig for treasure, enjoy a fishing game and archery, and a ball track.

Puppet shows will run throughout the day, targeting different age groups. The Snow Geese (a marionette play for ages 3 and up) will show at 10:30 am, 11:20 am, 12:05 pm and 1:15 pm. It lasts about 15 minutes. The Puppet Play (a shorter play for ages 3 and under) will show at 11:00 am and 12:45 pm.

The event is indoors and outdoors. Visitors to the Fall Festival may also purchase beautiful handmade dolls and traditional craftwork by local craftspeople, and a lunch for purchase, including gluten free and vegan offerings. Entrance fee of $5 per adult with separate costs per activities. All are welcome!
