ALEXANDRIA, VA—For those traveling by Metro this weekend, you'll want to plan for extra travel time. Metro announced Blue and Yellow Line trains won't run south of Reagan National Airport the weekend of March 2-3.

Free shuttle buses will replace Metrorail at the closed stations. The impacted stations are Braddock Road, King Street, Eisenhower Avenue, Van Dorn Street, Huntington, and Franconia-Springfield. Riders should plan for an extra 15 minutes of travel time for each stop.

Blue Line trains will run every 20 minutes between National Airport and Largo Town Center only. There is also single tracking between Smithsonian and Federal Center SW. Yellow Line trains will run every 20 minutes between National Airport and Mount Vernon Square.
