Mohawks For Pets: Head To Tail Grooming Spa Opens In Del Ray

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Del Ray is further strengthening its reputation as a pet lovers' community with the opening of From Head to Tail Grooming Spa this week. The dog and cat grooming spa, located at located at 430 Hume Avenue in Alexandria, will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony with the mayor Thursday, March 1 at 5:30 p.m.

"As lifelong animal lovers, we created a grooming spa that our own dogs would be happy to go to, and that we, as dog parents, would be comfortable taking them to—one that offers the best products, patience and kindness and delivers top-notch service in a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere," said owner Jodi Goldberg.

From Head to Tail Grooming Spa aims to provide professional grooming in a clean and holistic environment. Services range from standard cleaning services to fun extras like partial hair dye and styles like mohawks.

The groomer is will become the first in Virginia to offer an all-natural, Thera-Clean micro-bubble bathing system, giving a deep clean into the pores and follicles to result in less shedding, itching, odors and irritation.

"We can't think of a better and more pet-friendly city than Alexandria for our new business," said Goldberg. "We are so thrilled to be here and look forward to getting involved and giving back to this great community."

All are welcome to the grand opening, which will feature refreshments, Thera-Clean demonstrations, free nail trims for dogs and more. The groomer will be collecting donations benefiting Alexandria's Operation Paws for Homes, which rescues dogs from overcrowded high kill shelters in the south.
