Mount Vernon Rec Center Will Close Aug. 23-31 for Repairs
The scheduled repairs include installation of a more energy-efficient heating and cooling system.
The City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is scheduling repairs at Mount Vernon Recreation Center, 2701 Commonwealth Ave., according to a news release from the City.
The repairs will require the centers to be closed from Saturday, Aug. 23 through Sunday, Aug. 31. The scheduled repairs include installation of a more energy-efficient heating and cooling system, and minor electrical, ductwork and structural modifications to support the installation.
