Mouse Droppings On Shelves: Del Ray Restaurant Violations

Health inspectors found mouse droppings on food storage shelves at one Del Ray area restaurant.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—The City of Alexandria regularly conducts health inspections for local restaurants. The frequency of inspections on the type of food served and how it is prepared.

“In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations,” states the Virginia Department of Health’s website.

Here are some of the violations around Del Ray from recent inspections in June. Among the violations were mouse droppings on food storage shelves at Rosemarino d'Italia.

violations: employees not able to identify symptoms of foodborne illness, chicken tenders not cooked to proper temperature
