Del Ray Shooting: Suspect Arrested; Three Injured
Update: A 17-year-old suspect has been arrested in the Del Ray shooting that injured three.

(Updated 9:22 p.m.) ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police have arrested a suspect in the Thursday shooting at the 400 block of East Howell Avenue in Del Ray. Police say the suspect shot at three people in a car around 1 p.m. The car crashed and the three occupants aged 19, 21 and 49 were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Thursday.
The suspect, a 17-year old, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. Police believe the victims know the suspect.
Authorities along with the Fairfax County helicopter searched for the suspect. A description was not provided.

The school district said that the lockdown was lifted at Mount Vernon Community School, Matthew Maury Elementary School, George Washington Middle School and the district's central office. They were on lockdown from 1:30 p.m. to 1:55 p.m. due to police activity.
