The Mount Vernon Big Flea is a huge fundraiser benefiting Mount Vernon Community School in Del Ray. The main event will happen on April 26, 2014, but starting this Saturday, October 19 we will be collecting donations of unwanted furniture, household items, toys, etc. at our temporary warehouse located at 3815 Mt Vernon Ave. (in the shopping center next to MOM's Organic Market) between 2 and 4 pm.
This Saturday is a donation drop-off only. Starting in November, you will be able purchase items already donated at our monthly Shop 'n Drops (Nov 16, Dec 14, Jan 18, Feb 22, March 1, March 15, March 29, April 5 and April 12).
We accept most things (weird art, furniture in need of TLC and toys that might not have all the pieces), but we cannot accept books, clothing, upholstered furniture and televisions (flatscreens are OK). For a complete donation guide please visit http://mvbigflea.wordpress.com/donation-guide/
