More Than 200 Without Power Sunday in Alexandria
Powerful storms swept through Northern Virginia. Nearly 15,000 in the City lost power Saturday night.

Nearly 15,000 homes in Alexandria were without power Saturday night after powerful storms swept through the area. The City was under several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and was under a Flood Warning until 5:30 a.m.
There were 42,000 homes without power across Northern Virginia Saturday night due to the storms.
As of about 9 p.m. Saturday., 14,983 homes were without power in Alexandria. At about 5:25 p.m., 232 homes in Alexandria were without power.

Some of the areas in Alexandria that were without power, according to a Dominion Virginia Power outage map:
- Glebe and Route 1: 4,056 homes without power
- Braddock and Russell Road area: 234 homes
- West End: 879 homes
