It will replace the nearby Giant store at 425 East Monroe Ave. store, which will close Thursday, Sept. 3 at 6 p.m., according to Giant.

The new Giant will offer free parking for two hours in the parking garage in the building. “There is a level of parking in the garage reserved for Giant customers so that’s probably the best option for folks coming to the new store,” a spokesman said. “There are elevators in the garage that give customers access to our new store. We offer Giant customers free parking in the garage for the first two hours.”
