Nora Partlow Receives Key to Del Ray

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Neighborhood icon Nora Partlow was presented with a Key to Del Ray at the recent Del Ray Business Association Annual Meeting. “We wanted to acknowledge everything that Nora has done to put Del Ray on the map,” said DRBA President Bill Blackburn.

Partow opened St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub in Del Ray in 1996, seeking to provide an anchor to the struggling neighborhood. In the 19 years since, the Del Ray community has grown and flourished, and St. Elmo’s has been a big part of that growth.

To date, Nora is the only recipient of the Key to Del Ray.
