&pizza To Open First Alexandria Location
The DC-based pizza company announced a July opening for its newest location.

ALEXANDRIA—DC-based pizza phenomenon &pizza will open its first Alexandria location at the Potomac Yard Shopping Center in July. Opening day will be Thursday, July 12.
It will be the pizza company's 27th location. To celebrate, the first 27 people in line on opening day will receive free pizza.
The company says the shop will be "designed around the vibe of the surrounding Alexandria community" and feature its new digital menu boards.

For just over $10, guests can either craft own individual pizza with unlimited toppings or choose from nine classics, known as "The Hits." Some of the custom pizzas include an Big Caesar, Pineapple Jack Hawaiian, and Gnarlic, a spin on the white pie. There are also gluten-free and vegan offerings.
The stores also offer craft sodas and teas, while select locations serve up wine and beer. The pizza chain has been recognized by "Best Of" awards in Business Insider, The Washington Post, Washington City Paper and more.

First opened in 2012 at DC's H Street Corridor, &pizza has locations in DC, Virginia, Maryland, New York City and Philadelphia. It will soon be expanding to Boston.
