Potomac Yard Metrorail Station Community Open House Set for Next Week
Find out potential environmental impacts related to wetlands, Greens Scenic Area Easement, City Parkland and National Park Service land.

The City of Alexandria will hold its second Potomac Yard Metrorail Station Community Open House next Wednesday, April 8, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Charles Houston Recreation Center (901 Wythe Ave).
The Community Open House will cover specific potential environmental impacts covered in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), which has been approved for release by the Federal Transit Administration and the National Park Service. Staff will be present to assist the public in learning about potential environment impacts related to wetlands, Greens Scenic Area Easement, City Parkland, National Park Service land, visual resource and cultural resources. This open house will have no formal presentation.
The DEIS document is available on the Potomac Yard Development webpage and at several City facilities: a complete list can be found online.

Comments can be submitted at any time throughout the EIS process tocomments@potomacyardmetro.com. Comments submitted between Friday and May 18 will be responded to in the Final Environmental Impact Statement.
