UPDATE: Powerball Jackpot Keeps Climbing -- Now Up to $500 Million
Next drawing in multi-state lottery takes place Wednesday night.

Feeling lucky? The jackpot for Powerball, the multi-state lottery, has now climbed to... $500 million, after no one had the winning numbers in Saturday night’s drawing.
Although no one had the winning six numbers for the jackpot, three Virginia tickets each won $10,000 in Saturday’s drawing. Those tickets were bought in Oakton, Portsmouth and Winchester.
Virginia Lottery officials expect to sell about 1.5 million Powerball tickets in the Commonwealth on Wednesday alone.

Powerball tickets cost $2 each; the profit from every Powerball ticket bought in Virginia, like all other Virginia Lottery tickets, goes to K-12 public education in the Commonwealth. You can find a Virginia Lottery retailer here by plugging in your ZIP code.
The next drawing is Wednesday night. You can check your numbers after 11 p.m. at: http://www.powerball.com/powerball/pb_numbers.asp
