Preschool/Daycare Proposed at Braddock Road Church
YMCA proposes to lease space at First Assembly of God Church at 700 W. Braddock Road for a preschool and daycare.

The YMCA is proposing to lease space and open a preschool at First Assembly of God, a church located at 700 W. Braddock Road (see map below) in Alexandria, according to papers filed with the City.

The preschool and daycare would be open from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., offering both before and after-care and offer spaces for up to 75 children, according to the application.
The applicant/owner of the preschool — YMCA of Metropolitan Washington/YMCA Alexandria — notes that shrubbery and fencing will screen loading and unloading from the surrounding residential area. The church has a parking lot in the rear with space for 100 cars.

A page on the YMCA Web site says the Alexandria program will be open to children ages six weeks to 5 years.
