Rosemont Avenue Playground Renovation Starts Next Week

Pre-construction meeting with community set for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Hooffs Run Park Playground.

Construction and renovation of the Hooffs Run Park Playground will begin next week, closing the playground for about two months, according to a news release from the City of Alexandria.

Planned construction and renovation activities at the playground, located at 99 E. Rosemont Ave., begin the week of August 11. Weather permitting, construction will conclude in approximately eight weeks. The renovation includes removal and replacement of play equipment, new rubberized safety surfacing, drainage improvements, and restoration plantings.

Construction activities require the closing of the playground. Visitors are encouraged to use nearby playgrounds located at Sunset Park, 4 Sunset Dr., and Beach Park, 201 Rucker Pl., during the construction. For a comprehensive directory of City playgrounds, visit the Project Play website.
