SnackBar And Bagel Uprising To Close In Del Ray: Report
SnackBar opened last year and has hosted the popular Bagel Uprising.

SnackBar, a Del Ray restaurant that also hosts Bagel Uprising inside, will close down during Labor Day weekend. The restaurant opened in the fall at the former Caboose Cafe location (2419 Mount Vernon Avenue).
Bagel uprising announced the closure via Twitter:
Dear Bagel People: Our current location (SnackBar) will close after this weekend. Alas, bagels will not be part of the new operation. Stock up through Monday (9/3) & stay tuned as I figure out the next step. (And if you have leads on a future home for bagels, please reach out!)

Based on the social media conversation, there's at least some interest in moving Bagel Uprising to another restaurant. The owner says it will also continue deliveries.

As for SnackBar, it appears the space is getting a new owner. Alexandria Living Magazine first reported that Common Plate Hospitality will take over the space. The team did not comment on specific plans for the new restaurant. Common Plate Hospitality runs Mason Social, Augie's Mussel House and Patio and the upcoming Urbano 116 in Old Town Alexandria.
Bagel Uprising has been around since 2015, starting out at the Four Mile Run Farmers and Artisans Market.
