Snow Storm: What's Open, Closed In Del Ray

ALEXANDRIA, VA—As snow continues to fall throughout the day, many services are closed in Del Ray. Forecasters are now calling for 4 to 8 inches of snow as the region remains under a winter storm warning until 8 p.m.

City offices are closed, although emergency personnel are reporting as usual. City snow and ice teams are mobilized and are treating roads.

Here's a look at what's open and closed around Del Ray.

• Trash and recycling collection: Wednesday's collection is moved to Thursday and Thursday's is moved to Friday

• Restaurants: Confirmed restaurants open are St. Elmo's Coffee Pub, Del Ray Cafe (closing after lunch, pick-ups until 2:30 p.m.), Junction Bakery & Bistro, SnackBar, Swings Coffee Roasters, Al's Steaks, Bon Vivant Cafe + Farm Market, Stomping Ground, Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap, Pork Barrel BBQ, Holy Cow, Bombay Curry Company, Cheesetique Del Ray, Taqueria Poblano Del Ray, Northside 10, Market 2 Market Del Ray, Los Tios Grill and Thai Peppers Restaurant. • Metrorail: Trains are operating on a modified weekday schedule both above and below ground. Expect delays. See more information from WMATA.
• Metrobus: Buses will be reduced by about 60 percent under the moderate snow plan. Some routes will not operate, and riders should plan for delays.
• DASH Bus service: As of 7 a.m., buses will only operate on the DASH snow routes
