Taste of Del Ray: 19 Neighborhood Restaurants Participating

Prepare your taste buds for this weekend’s 7th Annual Taste of Del Ray, sponsored by the Del Ray Business Association (DRBA).

The event will take place Sunday, June 7, from 1 – 3 p.m., with Northern Virginia Magazine Managing Editor Lynn Norusis as guest judge.

Nineteen neighborhood restaurants will participate in the outdoor competition that will name the 2015 Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice awards. Ticket-holders will enjoy a variety of tastes and cast their votes at the event, which will be located in the lot behind the United Bank at 2401 Mt. Vernon Ave. Patrons will also enjoy live entertainment at the Farmers Market parking lot, along with various food exhibits.

The weather forecast is calling for partly sunny skies with highs near 80 degrees Sunday.

Advance tickets are $10, $5 for children under 12, and can be purchased at:

• Del Ray Farmer’s Market, Mt. Vernon and E. Oxford avenues
• United Bank, 2401 Mt. Vernon Ave.
• Greener Cleaners, 2210 Mt. Vernon Ave.
• BB&T Bank, 1901 Mt. Vernon Ave.
• Neighborhood Pharmacy of Del Ray, 2204 Mt. Vernon Ave.

Tickets are $15 on the day of the event, with sales beginning at 12:30 p.m.
