So there I was, banana and coffee in hand, when I opened the review of last night's Video Music Awards on Twitter. There were 1 minute excerpts of the performances of Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry. So this is how Al Qaeda is really destroying our way of life! All 3 of these performers subjected us to some of the worst "music" to come down the pipe in a while. And Robin Thicke's ahem, "interaction" with Ms. Cyrus was pornography plain and simple. So while America sleeps, our youth will no doubt emulate the twerkations of this Axis Of Evil and speed up our inevitable descent into moral bankruptcy and cultural ruin. (The last sentence should be shouted louder)Or......
Maybe the actual viewing audience of this program won't be as kerfluffeled as today's punditocracy was. Maybe they just want to dance. Maybe they'll go to school, do their homework, hang with their friends, and not remember any of this by next week. It could be much ado about nothing......
