Tornado Watch Issued for City of Alexandria
Alexandria is under weather alert until 8 p.m. Monday, according to National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the DC metro area Monday afternoon. The Watch includes the following areas:
- Alexandria
- Arlington
- Fairfax County
- Washington, D.C.
The watch was issued at 4:10 p.m. and continues until 8 p.m. Monday. A Tornado Watch is issued when weather conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms that are capable of producing tornadoes.
