VIDEO: Alexandria Police Investigate 7-Eleven Robbery
Suspect jumps on counter, struggles with female clerk. Incident at Seminary Plaza Shopping Center caught on video.
The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the robbery of a 7-Eleven convenience store at 4610 Kenmore Ave. in the Seminary Plaza Shopping Center, according to a news release the department sent out on Monday.
Around 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 11, a man approached the checkout counter and handed the clerk money for several items. When the register opened, the suspect jumped onto the counter and struggled with the clerk before grabbing cash from the register drawer.
The suspect then fled the scene. The female clerk was not injured. The suspect is described as a black male between 25 and 35 years old, 6’, 210 lbs., with a shaved head and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.

The robbery was captured on surveillance video and can be viewed below. It was posted on the Alexandria Police Department’s YouTube Channel: youtube.com/AlexandriaVAPD Monday, Dec. 29. A news release about the video was sent out today (Monday, Jan. 5.)
