Voting Open for 2015 'Heart of Del Ray Award'

It’s that time of year: Voting is open for the “Heart of Del Ray Award,” presented annually by the Del Ray Business Association on Valentine’s Day to a business that best represents the heart and soul of Del Ray.

Last year’s winner was Del Ray Pizzeria. The award was presented to DRP’s Sean Snyder and Eric Reid by former Heart of Del Ray winners Pat Miller (2009-A Show of Hands), Jen Walker (2010-McEnearnery Associate) and Stacey Swartz (2012-Neighborhood Pharmacy of Del Ray).

This year, more than 30 businesses were nominated and the list has been narrowed down to these five businesses:

1. Caboose Cafè & Bakery
2. Holy Cow/Pork Barrel BBQ
3. Mind the Mat Pilates & Yoga
4. ROAM-Rock of Ages Music Company
5. St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub

DRBA suggests you base your vote on the business that best demonstrates:

• a warm and welcoming attitude to the community/customers
• a commitment and generosity to the community
• an overall contribution to what makes Del Ray the best place in the world to live, work and shop
• In other words, DRBA notes: Which business warms your heart when you hear its name?
