Warwick Pool To Reopen For 2018 Summer Season

Plus, here's when the pools open for the summer season in Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—With the weather getting warmer by the day, we are counting down the days for the pools to open. Lucky for Alexandrians, there will be more places to cool off this summer as the Warwick Pool reopens.

The Warwick Pool, which has been undergoing maintenance, will be open to the public on Saturday, May 26. Updates to the 4,100-square-foot pool include water depths ranging from zero to five feet, five 25-yard lap lanes; an accessible ramp for persons with disabilities, a seasonal bathhouse, lockers and recreational amenities for family and community activities.

Alexandria City Council will hold a dedication ceremony and community open house Thursday, May 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. The dedication will be followed by family-friendly activities from the Mobile Art Lab and Jerome “Buddie” Ford Nature Center, child and family summer program offerings; and a “meet and greet” with pool staff. Light refreshments will be available. All are invited to attend.
