Weekend: Find Some Treasures at the MV Big Flea Fundraiser

You can pick up some treasures and help a good cause on Saturday at the MV Big Flea, a fundraiser which benefits the Mt Vernon Community School PTA.

Proceeds are used for things such as field trips, enrichment activities, special events, computers, musical instruments and art and classroom supplies.

The MV Big Flea takes place Saturday at the Mt. Vernon Recreation Center, 2701 Commonwealth Ave. in Alexandria. Early bird admission ($10 entrance fee) at 7 a.m., free general admissions 8 a.m.-noon.

An area of the Flea will be dedicated to local artists to display and sell their work.
