VIRGINIA — Barbecue kings who need last-minute re-supplies of burgers, hot dogs, potato salad fixings, beer and more can get what they need at most northern Virginia grocery stores on Thursday, July 4. Most food stores in the region — Giant, Harris Teeter, Wegmans and Safeway — are open on the holiday, but check on individual stores for their hours.

Here's a list of Fourth of July hours for DC and northern Virginia grocery chains, taken from their websites and social media. Some stores may vary:

• Wegmans Food Markets: Stores will be open their normal business hours: 6 a.m. to midnight.
• Food Lion: All stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (depending on the store).
• Safeway: Open normal hours, most locations open 5 a.m. to midnight, some open 24 hours a day
