When Will Heat Be Out of Here? This Week's Weather

If you’ve been outside Monday in Northern Virginia, you already know it’s hot out there. The area is seeing temperatures in the mid-80s before noon and it could climb to nearly 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Combined with the humidity, it’s not pleasant.

When will the mini-heatwave end?

Looks like Wednesday will be picture perfect, with a high of 72 degrees and sunny skies.

Here’s a look at this week’s forecast for most of Northern Virginia from the National Weather Service:

• Monday: 60 percent chance of showers, high 88 degrees
• Monday night: 60 percent chance of showers, low of 68 degrees
• Tuesday: 50 percent chance of thunderstorms, high of 85 degrees
• Tuesday night: 20 percent chance of thunderstorms, low of 60 degrees
• Wednesday: Sunny, high of 72 degrees
• Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, low of 57 degrees
• Thursday: Mostly cloudy, high of 69 degrees
• Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, low of 59 degrees
• Friday: Mostly sunny, 77 degrees
