Centreville Sees 1 Burglary, 1 Unlawful Entry Over Weekend

A man walked into a Centreville residence Sunday afternoon and fled when he realized someone was home.

Fairfax County Police say that two homes in Centreville were broken into over the weekend; one was burglarized and in the other incident, a break-in or “unlawful entry,” a man fled the scene when he realized someone was home.

On Friday, a burglary took place in the 6000 block of Anne Marie Terrace. Police say that a resident reported someone entered the residence and took property. Police did not say what time the burglary took place.

On Sunday at 2:29 p.m., an unlawful entry took place in the 14000 block of Rustling Leaves Lane. A resident reported an unknown man walked into the home through an unsecured door. The man left immediately when he saw someone in the home. Nothing was taken. No description was given of the suspect.
