Clifton Church Youth Group Volunteer Charged with Sexual Battery
Teenager alerted parents to volunteer giving massages to members of youth group.

A 23-year-old man who volunteered with the , 12925 Braddock Rd., youth group was charged Friday morning with two counts of aggravated sexual battery, according to Fairfax County Police.
Police investigated the alleged activity after receiving a call from the parents of a 14-year-old who reportedly told parents that the suspect gave them (and other teens) a massage. After questioning the child further, parents learned of the alleged abuses and contacted police on Aug. 3.
James West, formerly of the 5000 block of Hope Park Road in Fairfax, was not a member of the paid church staff, but volunteered there for several years, according to police. Police charged him with the crime Friday at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
