Clifton Man Charged with Assault

Cody Williams, 21, was charged with assault by mob, grand larceny, and possession of marijuana.

A Clifton man was arrested after police said he and two other men assaulted a 16-year-old boy.

According to police, the 16 year old was walking down the 5200 block of Lindsay Street in Fairfax on July 24 at 5:45 p.m. when he noticed he was being followed by a car. The victim told police the driver of the car pulled over, approached the teen, and they exchanged words.

The driver of the car and the teen started to fight and the passengers who had also been in the car came out to help the driver. Police said that the driver took the victim’s cell phone.
