The COMPUTER Is Driving Me Crazy Today

Life was easier before I had a computer, I have had it since 2000 my son taught me everything I needed to know then

My life has been interesting since the computer, shall we call her/him rode into my computer room and said Hi, you old senior, I will upset you a lot, but some days you will love me.

I am going to get a poll maven to take a poll on how a computer can drive a senior, anyone over 60 or so to get upset and wants to throw something at it to shut it up.

Then I rethink this and think what I do with it everyday. I turn it on, I dust it off some days and I write my stories, send my friends emails and check the news, local and national and some from my former home in Pikesville, Maryland where I resided over 55 years and I subscribe to the Baltimore Sun Papers to see what is going on and in the Fall to read about my beloved Ravens.

My friend, the computer allows me to shop online and most of the time the clothes turn out well, other than that I send them back with postage paid by the clothing company. Sometimes, I have to rid myself and pay the send back label and I pay for it. It is easier than walking through the malls. I look over the catalogues and I decide if I will look as good as the models and I call in the order. It is hard to fill out the order blank, so calling it in on the phone and all the sales associates are so pleasant and after speaking with them, you feel like you have a new friend in Costa Rica, Australia, or maybe Texas. They ask my name and they love it, so I order an extra five shirts for her compliments.

Four or five days, it arrives and 90 percent of the time I like it. Else Jerry takes it to the UPS store and the guy knows him already and says Hi, senior, good to see you. You need not pay for the return postage or delivery, I think you will not have to.

There is a saying Love does not keep records, love rejoices with the truth. So Mr. or Mrs. Computer, you do come in handy. There is a company called Handy Man who comes to your house and fixes anything you need him for, because your honey does not do those things.

My little eleven year old grandson told me on the phone how I could press a button and everything will be fine. Yes, he did know what to do. God Bless Grandsons and Computers and us Seniors who keep busy with our minds and souls and we order clothes from people in foreign countries and we hope we look as delightful as the models in the ad books.
