Destiny And Finding A New Gateway To Happiness

Dreams can come true if you try hard to accomplish them. The dreams are not predestined.

“Happy are those that dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true.” Said by Leon Joseph Suenens. “Nothing is predestined. The obstacles of your past can become the gateway that leads us to new beginnings.” Said by Ralph Blum. Whoever these guys are, they are perfectly right.

Some folks believe that we are predestined to be great, to be not great, to be happy, and to be not happy. There is a belief in Judaism, that on the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur, it is written who will live and who will die in the coming year. I dislike that assumption and even though I am not a religious scholar, I do not hesitate to take issue on that belief. Things and events happen and this may influence what happens to us, where we are that moment that a car may crash into you and your car, that you will meet the right person and have a good life, that you will get a terrible illness.

When we were in a terrible car accident on June 18, 2008, it happened because we were at the wrong place at the wrong minute and a man was texting and ran a red light. Of course, if we had been five minutes later in coming there at the crossroads where it occurred; it may have happened to another person. If we had not turned down a different street to get to that point because the traffic was quite bad on the usual street we took to get there, then everything would have been fine.

It was not predestined that we would be hurt physically and our car almost demolished. We just happened to be there then and he had his head down then, and then we were hit. The obstacles of that moment were the man texting in his car and then us happening to be there precisely when he had his head down. I do not believe things that are bad are predestined. Maybe, happy things can be said to be predestined, not unhappy events

If there is a dog barking night and day and lives in a house behind you and it drives you crazy, that was not predestined that you bought that house and you were made to hear the terrible, all day noise from this dog. You were not predestined to become ill, it happened and no one sat there and said this was going to happen to you, good or bad. I do not think there is someone who designates that this person will have bad luck and the other person will have good luck.

Luck other than winning the lottery is sometimes what we make happen. If we study hard and long and obtain good grades in college, does that mean we are predestined to get a great job with good perks and a terrific salary? We can try to change our destiny by getting educated and obtaining an interesting and lucrative job. If such a job exists, then we can try for it and if we get it, it was not predestined. It was received by you because you earned it by all your hard work and the impression you made to the employee interviewing you for that particular position. It was not predestined. No way. If your mind thinks that way, you will never yearn for a particular position; because you feel there is destiny in it and possibly you are not ‘destined’ for it and you opt out of trying.

Do not plan on having destiny influence your own destiny. Study up on what you want for the future and what is involved in clearing any hurdles. Remember (in my opinion) that you are the driver of your destiny and wherever you drive, there will be someone for you and I believe this will be the beginning of your complete and rewarding destiny; not something, someone says on a religious holiday written so long ago. You are the coachman of what road you arrive at and if that road has something blocking it; turn around and go back and make sure you go up or down that new road safely and happily. If that does not work, try another way, no predestinations here. Find one that leads you up the right street and that street will be the correct one and see what happens. Our destiny is in our hands, in our mind, in our soul and most of all, it is in our choices and desires.

Dream dreams and be ready to pay the price for them to come true; it will open up the gateway to new beginnings.
