A doctor's praise is more worthwhile than another person's

Medical praise is better than money

A cardiologist's praise is worth more than money.You may think I am silly thinking that idea. A cardio doctor a few months ago during a checkup with her said to me "you are perfect and beautiful." This was like winning the lottery when a physician speaks that to me.

Another one said the same thing to me when I lived in Pikesville, He knew me for about 25 years and when I came for a visit, he always walked in and sang a song from the play about Evita who was the Argentina president of some high office. Since I was Elita, he used the song with a different letter than mine. It was cute and he had a nice voice. He said I was doing well and I need not come back for 10 years. He was kidding. Another doctor once said I had pretty skin.

So when I feel low sometimes, I think of these compliments, especially coming from heart doctors and think all is well.

Once, when I was a teen, Dad looked at me and said " you are gorgeous, such high cheek bones." Of course, Dad was certainly partial to his child.

One of my stories for the Patch was published in a Kansas Patch. I did not know it, but I came across it when I was searching for an old one. Then I bought a winter coat from online JC Penney and the girl was so nice, I asked where she was. She said Kansas City Kansas, not Missouri because there is a city in there called Kansas City Missouri. So I was happy my stories are picked up around the country. So here is to compliments from doctors, other readers, my late Dad and the compliments we give to our self.
