
Personal property taxes for Fairfax County residents, which include taxes on cars, motorcycles, boats and other personal property, are dueĀ Monday, Oct. 7āthatās in less than two weeks.
Residents should have already received their property tax bill from Fairfax County. If you misplaced it or didnāt receive it,Ā contact the Department of Tax Administration betweenĀ 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.Ā weekdays. You can callĀ 703-222-8234Ā or send an email toĀ dtappd@fairfaxcounty.gov
The bill includes a $33 registration fee for vehicles that are stored or parked in the county. This registration fee is $38 for vehicles weighing more than 4,000 lbs., and is $18 for motorcycles.

Fairfax County does not have a county sticker or windshield decal, but residents in the towns of Clifton, Herndon and Vienna have separate fees or decal requirements.
There areĀ several ways to pay, including online, by mail, by phone, through a mobile app or in-person. You can pay by cash, check or credit card. Payments sent by mail must be postmarked byĀ Oct. 7Ā to avoid late fees.

Seniors, disabled veterans and disabled citizens may qualify for tax relief. They can get more information by callingĀ 703-222-8234Ā or by going toĀ www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dta.
