An affectionate acclamation to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, the musical by Meredith Willson is sure to put a spring in your step and a song in your heart. The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize,  despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

Featuring a cast and crew of more than of 50 South County students, many of whom made their own costumes, the production includes the lead roles of Harold Hill (played by sophomore Jack Gereski), Marian (senior Whitney Turner), Mrs. Paroo (senior Katie Murray), and Marcellus (freshman Ethan Schultze).
