A Fairfax Station resident is one of several retired officers who will take part in establishing a Fairfax County Police Department museum, The Washington Post reports.

The Post spoke with Dwight Lee Hubbard, 76, a retired lieutenant of the department. He is a member of a group that has worked to open a police museum since 2006, when they began collecting memorabilia, the Post reports.

The museum will display “thousands of photos, vintage police uniforms, firearms, patches, radar guns,” and other materials, the newspaper reports.
