Fairfax Symphony Orchestra Presents Chamber Works by Elgar, Britten, and Shostakovich

The

Fairfax Symphony presents its debut performance in George Mason University’s

Harris Theatre in Fairfax.  The program

highlights two works by Benjamin Britten in the 100th Anniversary

season of his birth.  Featured artists

include tenor, William Hite, and the FSO’s own principal horn, Eric Moore.  The performance includes a symphony by

Britten’s friend and artistic kindred spirit, Shostakovich, and Elgar’s

Serenade for Strings.
