Fifty Two Years Ago, My Baby Boy Was Born

When he was born, there were no sonograms or x-rays that could tell you the sex of the child. The nurse said you have a boy, but 40 years from now, you will know sooner because there will be a test called a sonogram and you will know when you are three months pregnant. I could not believe something like that.

The little baby was very small and he grew up into a wonderful boy and a fantastic son. He is very smart and when he was in the 6th grade, he played the lead in Tom Sawyer and every show thereafter, the lead in the school plays.

He now has a son of his own and a daughter too. My Mom did live to see him be Bar Mitzvah and for that she was grateful. My Dad did not live to see him born and in fact he is named for my Dad.

So there is a saying that one who is gone now rests in peace and someone who is loved by them has named their child after him or her. One time we were in a restaurant and they gave the kids balloons and my son went outside and let them all go up to the sky so Gingham, his grandmother would have something to hold onto.

So we always need something to hold to or someone to hold on to and this makes our life full of sweet happenings.
