I Am Awarding New Awards For People Of Valor

Today July 26th 2016, I am starting my own awards system. It is called Elita’s Mensh or Mensch Awards. There are the Emmys, the Grammy (not named after me), the Country Music awards, the Tony awards, the Awards honoring football and baseball players etc.
Mine will be picked only by me who owns the rights to this award and who shall win it. It is based on being an honorable person, young or old, one who helps others in different ways, one who merits the award because they are fine, decent and intelligent too. Religion or race does not matter. Everyone I know is eligible.
The first set is a set of 5, my friend Steven Behr, Sr who is my ballroom dance friend for at least almost 20 years who teaches people how to dance regardless of their now age and he is a wellness educator and teaches every year in Hawaii with a female partner, the Hawaiians how to dance and to love it and shows them how to dance before others in dance exhibitions. He is my friend, my encourager as I do too to encourage folks and inspire regardless of age to try to learn dance. We have never met in person, just over the internet and once spoke on the telephone when I wished him a safe trip.He is a father, a husband and a grandfather. He gets the first male Elita award for a senior.
Next is Harry Burstyn, a Holocaust child of his survivor parents Perry and Toba who is what is called a mensch which means a person of valor, worth, honor and goodness. Harry typifies all of those and I have known him since he was a preteen and have not seen since then, but we email and facebook weekly and I know how kind and caring he is and to me and he is smart too because he loves my articles and stories.
Next is my eleven year old grandson who was voted in his 5th grade class to be the best citizen and he got all the votes in his class except for one and that boy of course voted for himself. My grandson also got it in the 2nd grade and for the other grades, they were not allowed to be nominated again for it which is silly, but then they changed. It is when I converse with him, as if he is in high school. He loves when I tell him all about when his Daddy was a little boy like him.
Next is my new friend Carmen Elena Oliva, a new friend of only 15 months and she is my hair artist and she does my hair every Friday morning and comes to my house. No hassles going to the salon and quite nice a home styling of my hair. She is a beautiful Spanish young woman, a wife of 20 years, a Mom to three young folks, Ricardo who is getting ready to apply for colleges, a fine and handsome and respectful almost 17, a church goer, a dear kid, I met him and his brother on my birthday a few weeks ago when he and Mom and younger brother Rafael who brought me a vase of beautiful flowers and surprised me in ringing the doorbell on a very hot Tuesday afternoon.Rafael just won Junior Olympics medal for track and he is quite handsome too. Both young men are not only good looking, they are genuinely nice and respectful. They both went downstairs to pay pool in our family room and when they left because a storm was brewing and they wanted to get home before it arrived and arrive it did so hard, that we canceled my birthday dinner with my son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren to the following night. Also, Verizon cut my television off due to an error on the shutting down people department, so we were tv less due to their error. I forgot to mention Rafael and Ricardo gave me a kiss before they left. Also their Dad Andrew will get a Mensch award in my next set as he escorts me to doctor appointments and helps me in the car with my walker.Also to the sister of the young men R and R Maria who is a 3rd year college student and has an executive job part time with Chick Fila. She is beautiful too.

Next to my husband of 56 years who is funny, sometimes I do not like his jokes (?) who is considerate, kind, generous and my best friend. He is still good looking and Carmen cuts his hair too every 5 weeks. I hardly remember a time before him and she makes him look sexy.

I won an award from the Sunpapers in Baltimore Maryland for my stories and I was 36th out of 500 so that is nice, but a funny award name. The Mobbies and won a paper award. Nice for old lady senior.
So I will mail to my honorees a certificate for good health, happiness, fun, smiles, happy days and love.The Mensch or Mensh award for being a person of valor and a loving individual.
