Make an inventory . A friend of mine through the Facebook page said she just started group dance lessons and she loves it. She said she will not compete with her teacher in competitions like I did. She feels she is too old at about eighty-two, I told her to make an inventory of what she wants to accomplish from this endeavor and to go for it. Age does not matter. People are dancing at the age of ninety and this is true. People I know play golf at those ages, they travel on cruises, they fly to visit their children in faraway countries and most of all they inspire themselves that they can do it and do it well. Gertrude Stein, a kind of poet, not the rhymes like I write said " a rose is a rose, is a rose." You can apply this to something you have always wanted to do and do it because doing something is doing something and doing something is a valuable activity, regardless of age, Life is too short to put things off in our senior ages and if we are healthy enough to try, do it My Mom always wanted to visit Israel, Dad always put it off and he passed on at 77 and not got his wish. Mom went when she was about 75 and she had a great time, She did not always go with the group on long walking trips, but she was able to go on lots of side trips anyway. She was exhausted when she came back, but she was so proud of her accomplishment. Check your inventory now called bucket lists. I do not like equating fun with buckets, call it your inventory of a good life. elita Sohmer clayyman
